SCAPE
Integrated Studio Project 1: Year 1.2
For my first major project in Year 1, we were tasked with designing a community space on Scape's Garden Belt, located just outside the Scape Mall. Here, I designed a communal gallery space where visitors can participate in workshops on the upper floor. It also serves as a place where youths can come together and bond over a common interest and activity, forming bonds and enjoying time with each other.

Design Statement
My intention is to create a space where youths can come together and express themselves through the use of art. These works will then be displayed at the gallery, where people will be able to come and view the work of youths. This allows youths to be inspired by each other and work in a comfortable, collaborative and conducive environment. The plants and green walls in the space will help to fuel the creativity in the space, creating an aesthetically pleasing environment for all to enjoy. This brings the outside (nature) indoors, right to the heart of SCAPE.

306B CAR PARK @ CANBERRA
Integrated Studio Project 2: Year 2.1
For my second major project in Year 2, we were asked to create a community space for the HDB residents of Canberra. This space was located in an under-utilised multi-story car park surrounded by tall HDB flats. The residents who lived there wanted a space where they could come together to spend time as a community. In this project, I faced some challenges as we were restricted by structural beams and columns, as well as the requirement of incorporating an urban farm/community garden into our design. For this project, I designed a farm-to-table cafe, where the crops harvested in the garden will be used in the cafe, as well as other community spaces catered to all 3 generations living in that area. During this time, I used 3Ds Max as my main rendering and 3D software.

Design Statement
My intention is to create communal spaces where people and residents of all ages can spend time at. In these spaces, people can come to work together and spend time together. This will allow new communities to blossom within the neighbourhood, allowing people from different backgrounds, personalities and generations to get to know each other.

APEX HARMONY LODGE
Integrated Studio Project 3: Year 2.2
For my last major project in Year 2, we were asked to help renovate Apex Harmony Lodge, which is a dementia home for seniors, which caters to all 3 major stages of dementia. I chose the daycare and courtyards as my focus area to revamp and renovate. In the daycare space, I created a small "hawker centre" space which allows the patients to remember and reminisce on the old days. There is also an arts and crafts area where they can practice their cognitive and motor skills with their peers, as well as relax in the courtyards found surrounding the building. A farm-to-table concept is also adopted to promote sustainability as well as allow the patients to participate in occupational therapy. This time, I used Revit and Enscape to aid me in my 3D renderings and work.
Plan
Design Statement
My design aim is to create a space which facilitates social interactions between the residents of AHL. This will be achieved by designing open and semi-open communal spaces which have an uplifting ambience. These communal spaces will be well integrated with the green spaces throughout the building, thus allowing for interactions between the patients and nature. This will help to stimulate the 5 senses and enhance the living quality of the patients.

Conclusion
In conclusion, AHL is a project modelled after Singapore's iconic HDBs, with its many activities such as a hawker area, handicrafts area, courtyards, urban farms and a physiotherapy garden, offering a unique and innovative approach to providing care for people living with dementia. By incorporating nature into the interior space and connecting the different areas with a main, defining path, this project creates a holistic and integrated living environment that fosters physical, emotional and mental well-being.
The hawker area provides a social and cultural experience, while the handicrafts area offers creative expression and engagement opportunities. The courtyards, urban farms, and physiotherapy garden provide access to nature, exercise, and therapy, promoting physical and mental health. The use of a path connects these spaces, creating a seamless and fluid environment that is easy to navigate and promotes independence.
Overall, this dementia home project offers a model for providing person-centred care that prioritises the well-being and quality of life of residents. By creating a supportive and engaging environment that incorporates nature, culture, and activity, this project demonstrates how thoughtful design can enhance the lives of people with dementia.
NS SQUARE
Industry Studio Project: Year 3.1
The Industry Studio Project was mainly a group effort to help furnish the gift shop and reflection room areas of the upcoming and highly anticipated NS Square, which will be built on the current site of the floating platform at Marina Bay. In the NS Square, it will house swimming pools, gyms and other fitness facilities, as well as a museum narrating Singapore's development of armed forces.
Design Statement
The national service-themed gallery is designed to celebrate the spirit of togetherness. With the view of Singapore's CBD skyline, it shows how people come together to work in a common space. The function space and gift shop encourages interaction and connection, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose that is at the heart of national service.

Individual Work
I had to choose a focus area to work on and improve in either the gift shop or reflection room. I chose the step seating area as I felt that the particular area could be further improved on and I also felt that it was an important part of the reflection room. It has many purposes, on normal days, it can be used as an activity area. During special events like National Day and F1, it can be used as a seating area for viewing.
